Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with a little coconut oil or line it with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the chopped apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix thoroughly until the apples are well-coated with the spices. Spread the apple mixture evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
In another bowl, mix together the rolled oats, almond flour, melted coconut oil, honey or maple syrup, and walnuts (if using) until crumbly. Ensure that everything is well-cohesive and combined.
Evenly distribute the oat mixture over the apple layer in the baking dish, pressing it down slightly with the back of a spoon.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until the apples are tender and the crumble topping is golden brown.
Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
Serve warm, drizzled with unsweetened almond milk, and sprinkle with dried raisins or cranberries for an extra touch of sweetness if desired.
Notes
Serve warm with almond milk and optional dried fruits.
