Ingredients
1
cup
almond butter
1
cup
maple syrup
1/2
cup
unsweetened cocoa powder
1
tsp
vanilla extract
1/2
cup
oat flour
1/4
tsp
baking soda
1/4
tsp
salt
1/2
cup
dark chocolate chips
1/4
cup
chopped walnuts or pecans
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond butter and maple syrup. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
Add the unsweetened cocoa powder and vanilla extract to the bowl, mixing until fully incorporated.
Sift in the oat flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips and chopped nuts (if using).
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly using a spatula.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean (a few moist crumbs are fine).
Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before lifting the brownies out using the parchment paper.
Allow them to cool completely on a wire rack before slicing into squares.
Notes
For a nut-free version, substitute almond butter with sunflower seed butter.
